Sunrise School Division is the second largest geographic school division in the province serving six rural municipalities. Sunrise has 4,600 students in 14 area schools, six Hutterian Colony schools and four adult learning centres.
Sunrise approached ChangeMakers to help guide a review of how well they communicate with people in the division’s geographic area to find out how well the division is meeting or exceeding expectations in their role in educating students from kindergarten through grade 12; and how well people understand what the division and the Board of Trustees do.
As part of this process, ChangeMakers is conducting research including stakeholder interviews, a public opinion survey and a communications audit.
The results will lead to the development of a three-year communications plan to address issues identified in the research and to ensure all constituents – from students, staff and parents to the wider community – are informed about the topics of concern to them.
