A Meow Heard ‘Round the World

#Whiskerpeg, the Winnipeg-based “cat-ivist” advocating for equality for cats and responsible for raising awareness about the City’s cat licensing program, has been heard not only locally but internationally as well.

ChangeMakers is proud to announce that we have once again received a Gold Quill Award of Merit, this time for our fun, light-hearted take on an important issue – compliance with the City of Winnipeg by-law requiring both cats and dogs to be licensed.

The campaign was extremely successful, contributing to the sale of over 19,000 licenses in the first year licensing was required.

Presented by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), the Gold Quills recognize excellence in business communications. That’s quite the feather in our cap – and in the caps of the folks at the City of Winnipeg!

(And no, the feather didn’t come from one of #Whiskerpeg’s “trophies.”)
