Seven Oaks School Division (SOSD) is one of the province’s largest metro school divisions, located in the northwest corner of Winnipeg. Home to 24 schools (and growing) and numerous community-based educational programs, SOSD focuses on building communities and fostering diversity, student-led academics and the arts.
ChangeMakers has worked with SOSD since 2003. We developed a new brand and positioning statement (“Community Begins Here”) and have produced all the public information materials on behalf of the Board Office in the years since (with the exception of the website). We work very closely with the Superintendent to identify opportunities and strategies to communicate with the Division’s stakeholders including teachers, trustees, parents, students and non-parent ratepayers. We write and design a wide range of materials for the division including print ads, community announcements, annual reports to the community and public awareness campaigns focused on topics like student rights, community engagement and education funding.
